Alright, these are for Ken & his crew driving to the game this weekend.
Wonderfully Vivid Directions to Nocturne Campsite ^_^
1. Let’s get started by getting on 22 East, traveling through P-burg and towards I-78 East. You’ll pass the Mall and the Walmart plaza, as well as the old Laneco building before you reach the exit.
2. Keep to the middle (or right) lane and take the ramp for I-78 East towards New York, NOT Pennsylvania (we just came from there—we don’t want to return)
3. Now, you’ll be staying on 78 for quite some time. Enjoy the 3-lane highway.
4. About 26.5 Miles later (thank you, MapQuest), you will be seeing an exit for 287 South. Keep to your left and take this exit, making sure to STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE so you go onto 287 and not towards Morristown or wherever-the-fuck the left lane takes you.
5. Once on 287 South, prepare for traffic—but keep following it for awhile. Your next exit isn’t for quite some time, so sit tight.
6. After 20-something miles, you will begin seeing signs for the Parkway South exit. You will want to move to the right lane again, since traffic to get on the Parkway can be nasty and people won’t usually be nice about letting you merge in.
7. Take the Parkway South exit, when it comes up (just after the “Pain-Savior” graffiti bridge ::lol::)
8. The Parkway bridge is kinda messy on Fridays, so be careful and keep to your right, as per usual. You’ll be taking an exit not far after the Toll that comes up.
9. Once you pass the Toll, look for signs for the Route 9 South exit—it should be the second exit you pass on the Parkway post Toll and will come up on your right. It has an “Exit Only” lane and you want to be in it
10. Merge onto Route 9 South and follow it for awhile. Two lanes of highway with a lot of malls on both sides (New Jersey sure does love it’s malls).
11. Now, the next exit you’re looking for is Route 18 East and it will be coming up on your LEFT HAND SIDE, not the right. So, after about 20 min. or so on Route 9, keep to the middle or left as much as possible and look out for Route 18. I’d give you a number of stoplights or the like, but I honestly can’t remember how many there are (Route 9 is a busy, busy road).
**Footnote from Sara: Okay, I always thought that it was “Route 18 South”, but according to some random directions I noticed online, there is no 18 South but 18 East/West. So, I am putting in what appears to be correct. I still swear it’s 18 South. Either way, it’s the exit on your left that pops up right after a bridge for Route 18. If I see any mistakes in this while traveling down before you, I will call.
12. Take the exit for Route 18 East on your left and follow Route 18 for a few miles. Take the exit for 537 West, the 3rd Freehold exit, and merge onto the road.
13. Follow 537 until it ends. It should turn into Kozloski Rd. and, after about 15 min. or so go from being in a more industrial area to a backroad through some small woods. Just stick to the road through it’s curves and several stoplights.
14. Finally, you will come to a stoplight where the road ends: you can only turn right or left. This is Adelphia Road, so make a left onto it.
15. Pass through one more stoplight at an intersection with a Mini Mart on your right side and continue down Adelphia Rd.
16. A few miles down Adelphia (about 5-10 min. driving), the campsite will come up on your Right. It’s mildly deceiving, so keep an eye out for it (Brad and I missed it a few times on our first trip up). If you pass a small Liquor/Quick Stop store, you’ve gone too far.
17. Turn onto the campsite driveway and you’ve made it! ^_^
Now that that's finished...
Updates? Alot has been going on the past few weeks; I, of course, am too silly to constantly update about it, even though there's times I'd really like to vent somewhere. Game nights have been smashing--Brad's game gets better every time and we players seem to get more into it as the days pass. Changelings needs some work, but I'm getting to it...slowly but surely. Maybe at some point I can make it as vivid as Hunter (except not as gross and frightening o.o;) Looking forward to Nocturne, as I really need to not think about life in Easton for the weekend (and there should be nifty plot). Perfect timing ^_^
My birthday was absolutely wonderful--that Friday was, apparently, alot of fun (but I was a bit too drunk to remember all of it :D) and the party at my mother's house was great: Many many "thank you"'s to everyone who came by, you made it worth the time :)
Brad and I have offically lived together for a year <3. It's almost scary to think about--I didn't realize I had been away from 'home' that long. There's alot more that's on my mind concerning that, but I don't have enough free time to write it all down now. Plus, it's not really a concern to most--I'm not upset about it or anything, just thoughtful ^_^
Adrienne's been coming down to Easton more and that is quite the good time. It saddens me that I can't be around this weekend to meet Dylan, since she went to pick him up from the airport yesterday, but I know I'll get my chance on Monday or Tuesday (definatly Tuesday, since we have game!). Smitty leaves for Canada this weekend, which is sad ;_; We won't see him for a week. But I'm sure the trip will be fun and he'll have an amusing story or two for us when he returns. Esh seems to be doing better, which makes me happy--I'm glad that she and Smitty are doing well now <3 There's not much more I can say on all that.
So, there's an update on my life and thoughts. Now, I need to go finish gathering things and grab a shower. Oh!! And cut up chicken for Saturday night! I almost completely forgot o.o;;
I'll update about the event on Sunday night or Monday (I promised Smitty I'd tell him all about the game, so I'll likely need a write-up so I remember it all :D)
See everyone soon <3
